A light object built inside an original suitcase from the attic of Yotam’s grandmother, found in Kibbutz Nirim. The work deals with family memory and the encounter between a personal object and collective history. The inner image is based on a photograph of the historic dairy in the kibbutz – established by Yotam’s grandfather, Haim Shifroni, who was killed there during Egypt’s violations of the agreements that preceded the Sinai Campaign.
The work is part of the exhibition “Movables” at BY5 Gallery, curated by Nir Harmat.
